If your deck has rotted wood, we’ll assess it before cleaning and let you know if it’s worth servicing. In cases where the damage is extensive, we’ll recommend replacement instead to avoid wasting your money. For minor rot or isolated boards, we may still clean around them if you’re planning repairs later.

Cleaning and brightening will improve the appearance, but it won’t fully restore the original color. Sun exposure, weathering, and uneven aging affect how each section responds. You can expect a significant enhancement in tone and brightness, especially on cedar, but not a “like new” finish.

We don’t provide full wood restoration or repairs. Our service includes deep cleaning and brightening with an oxalic acid solution for cedar and other wood surfaces. If boards need to be replaced or refinished, we’re happy to refer you to a contractor.

We have a $250 minimum for any service visit. If the deck cleaning alone falls below that, we recommend bundling with another service like house washing or fence cleaning to maximize your value and meet the minimum.

Yes, but only with your permission. We’ll ask about larger items beforehand and may move them if necessary. We recommend removing small or delicate décor in advance to ensure nothing is damaged during the deck cleaning process.

We take precautions to minimize sand or runoff from entering your pool. If the deck surrounds your pool, we may redirect water flow, rinse away debris from the edges, or shield the pool during service. That said, light residue is sometimes unavoidable, especially if there’s heavy buildup or joint sand.

For poolside decks and sensitive areas, we pre-wet plants, use shields, and closely manage chemical application. In some cases, we’ll direct runoff away from pools or high-risk areas to avoid contamination. Your safety and landscape protection are always part of our setup process.

We recommend removing poolside furniture and ensuring pool covers or skimmers are in place, if available. While we take extra care around pools, prepping the area helps reduce the chance of debris or water runoff entering the pool during cleaning.

We recommend waiting 24–48 hours after cleaning before staining or sealing your deck. This allows the wood to fully dry and ensures the best absorption and finish for your staining product.

Fences and gates are not automatically included in a deck cleaning service. However, they can be added as part of a bundled quote, and we often clean them together if made of the same material. Just let us know during the estimate if you’d like them included.
